From Jeff Williams: "Mary Pennefather was announced at the tournament as an All American 1st Team for her outstanding regular season performance, and in the tournament she wasn't overwhelmed by the magnitude of the moment, nor the tough competition. She continued her awesome point guard play by leading the team in their first win with 33 points/16 rebounds; when the second game opponents focused on Mary, she instead dished to 1st Team All American Catherine Thomas who delivered a historic & tournament setting 46 pts, (7) 3's performance; in the semis. Seeing what Catherine could do, the opponent chose to limit her, so Mary again responded with a 25 pt./12 rebound answer, and; in the title game Mary's steady hand guided a total team effort with 4 players incl. Mary scoring nearly 20 pts each. Needless to say Mary was selected as 1 of 3 Lady Crusaders to the All Tournament Team."
So say hello to the USCAA National Champs!
